Streamate is a camming site that does not allow models to perform sexual acts in free chat. When I first learned of this, I was quite disappointed (most of the money I make with other camming sites is made in free chat with tips). However, with this rule in place, you do make more money in the private chat shows. That is why it is easy for me to recommend this site.
Streamate: STARTING OUT
When you are starting out with Streamate, just as you would with any other camming site, you are going to need a few key things.
The first thing you need is a high quality HD webcam. This webcam is probably going to cost you around $200 to $300, but it is certainly worth the money when you think about how much you make as a model. Always go for the higher quality webcam that offers the most features.
The second thing you are going to need is going to be a great computer. Personally I would get a chromebook. The chromebook is fast and you can store everything you need in google drive. However, you might end up needing a computer with windows on it to stream, depending on your preferences.
The last things that you have to worry about are toys, outfits, and things to decorate your studio (room specifically designed for camming). So, things like dildos, whips, chains, shoes (pretty ones), panties and bras that are pretty, paint, a bed, a couch, etc. I personally have a giant queen sized bed in my studio, a leather couch, a rocking chair, a fuck machine, loads of dildos, plenty of outfits, cuffs, chains, whips, shoes, and lots of stuffed animals. May sound strange (the stuffed animals part), but my users love the fact that I look so young, so I play off of that young feel.
Streamate: SHOWS
There are guest chat shows, premium chat shows, exclusive chat shows, and golden shows. All of these shows are great ways to earn some money.
THE CHAT LOGS
There are multiple chat windows that can happen in guest chat, such as Guest chat logs and Free chat logs. The guest chat is where credit card members are going to chat, and the free chat is where those without credit cards go to chat. You have the choice of closing off the free chat logs, but I don’t. I simply keep them up there because I don’t want users who may turn into paid members to feel as though I am all about the money to the point of not letting users get to know me without paying.
Final Thoughts
Streamate is a great ways for models to make some money. I personally make around $1,000 per day with this site, and my money count just keeps going up. I love working for them, and they do offer a lot of great features to make up for the fact that they don’t allow sexual acts in free chat.
